AI and the Value of Information Online
As AI reshapes how information is created, shared, and monetized, its impact on the value of information has never been more significant. This session explores how AI complicates ideas of authorship, ownership, and access - raising new questions about intellectual property, data ethics, and information equity. Participants will consider how personal data fuels AI systems, how open access and algorithmic bias intersect, and how faculty and students can navigate the blurred lines between fair use, privacy, and the commodification of information. This session will highlight ways to help learners recognize their own information privileges, act responsibly as both consumers and creators, and make informed choices in an AI-driven information economy.
This webinar will be recorded and all registrants will receive a link to the recording.
Webinars are scheduled to be one hour with time for Q&A both recorded and unrecorded. If you have any questions, please contact us at ask@udc.libanswers.com.
